Why Has "Rock n' Roll" Been Replaced By Tone Def Screams?

I was just sitting here listening to my new playlist on Napster (which I'm mooching off of my friend... sorry buddy) and I realized that about 95% the songs I'm listening to are from the 1980s and earlier. I mean what does that say about the music now a days.
